The Touring Concert Opera Company, Inc. is a not for profit organization based in New York City. Since it's inception in 1971, with a performance of "Cavalleria Rusticana" in Hartford Connecticut, TCOC has grown to include regular "Festival of Opera" series in Europe, Latin America, and many cities throughout the United States.
Enthusiastic audiences have viewed and heard these professionally cast productions in Opera houses, Town Halls, Civic Auditoriums, Historic Sites, Castles, Churches, Schools, Universities, Resorts, Country Clubs, Fine Restaurants, Cruise Ships, Television, United Nations, to outstanding critical acclaim. All productions are customized to fit all size venues. The repertoire includes standard and new works sung in Spanish, French, German, Italian and English. Productions are performed in concert form as well as staged and costumed with orchestra or piano. Funding and support comes from the New York State Council on the Arts, Virginia Commission of the Arts and Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts, the William Mathews Sullivan Musical Foundation, numerous retail and, business corporations as well as private donations. TCOC has collaborated with the United States Government and the Governments of Spain, Italy, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras and Nicaragua in presenting cultural attractions to their countries. Each year TCOC produces a new opera that is performed with all of its "Festival of Opera" affiliates All of TCOC's repertoire is available to organized groups and organizations year round.
