Ramon Alsina Artists Managment presents Roseanne Ciparick

Roseanne is a "cross-over" artist whose career has involved opera, recital, choral work, theater and performance art. After receiving her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Northwestern University where she studied with Carmen Mehta, she embarked on a solo recital career as a performer of new works. While in Chicago, she worked with many composers, including Tobias Picker and Amnon Wolman, and performed with renowned pianist Ursula Oppens. She also sang one season with the Chicago Symphony Chorus under the baton of Daniel Barenboim. Her light opera credits include several productions with Light Opera Works of Chicago as well as The Village Light Opera Group in New York City. She continued her choral career when she moved to San Diego and sang two seasons with the San Diego Opera Chorus. Roseanne's most recent operatic role was Mozart's Cherubino with The Touring Concert Opera Company. Currently, she is preparing for multiple roles in the upcoming family musical The American Girls Revue to be performed at the American Girl Place theater in New York City, opening November of 2003.

Roseanne has received much critical acclaim for her theatrical roles. She was dubbed "San Diego's radiant newcomer" by the San Diego Union Tribune for her role as Deborah Soloman in David Mamet's Sexual Perversity in Chicago which she performed at San Diego's Culy Theater. The San Diego Union Tribune also called her "a force [who] performs with such vividness and ease that she's enough to make the show worth seeing" for her role as Frieda in Harry Kondoleon's Love Diatribe at San Diego's Fritz Theater. Her role as the Beggar Woman in Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Fritz Theater was also met with critical acclaim. She traveled to Calgary's Stage West Theater to recreate the role of Maria Elena Santiago (Buddy's wife) in The San Diego Repertory Theater's production of Buddy...The Buddy Holly Story which she had previously performed at Chicago's Apollo Theater.

Roseanne's one-person "hip-hopera", Angel in Between, has been produced in New York City at the American Theatre of Actors and the W.O.W. Café Theatre and San Diego's Fritz Theater. Angel in Betweeen won Critic's Choice in the San Diego Union Tribune. KPBS-FM's Pat Launer said "In every incarnation, Roseanne Ciparick is a dream. Her voice is lovely, her acting impressive...the performance divine." And Ted Dawson of KUSI TV says "Roseanne Ciparick is a truly magnificent singer; you need to come see her."
